Black, Young & Empowered (B.Y.E) was founded with a burning passion to shatter the barriers that have historically held back Black youth. We are driven by the desire to make a real, tangible difference in the lives of young people who too often find themselves held back by circumstances beyond their control.

Our mission is clear: we are equipping Black youth with personal, professional, and social-emotional development skills so that they can achieve their life's purpose. 

 

Many families in our promise communities struggle to provide their children with the resources and support they need to thrive. From systemic racism and poverty to limited access to quality education, health, and extracurricular opportunities, the odds are often stacked against them. But we refuse to let those obstacles define their future.

At B.Y.E, we believe that empowerment is the key to unlocking a bright and prosperous future for Black youth. We offer a dynamic program that offers financial literacy, community engagement, film and acting classes, one-on-one mentoring, academic tutoring, and access to critical resources like school supplies and extracurricular activities on a weekly basis, year round.
